My Portfolio

What I've Done

I generally spend my hobby time developing data-driven websites for clients on a pro-bono basis.  Also currently in development are other projects which I will mention when they're out of 'stealth mode'.

October-2008 - July 2009

St. Ann's Catholic School

http://stannscatholicschool.com

Charlotte NC

I worked on St. Ann Catholic School's website, taking it from Static HTML to a data-driven customized Content management system written in C# with the ASP.NET MVC platform. Since Content Management Systems are the new Hello, World!, I thought it only fitting to write one in a new paradigm. Over the course of 10 months, I created a simple yet secure method for teachers and administrators to add and edit content for their site. The backend was designed and implemented using SQL Server 2005 and Linq-to-SQL.

July-2009 - Present

Big Spring United Methodist Church

http://bigspringumc.org

Charlotte, NC

For this project I'm working with a local church to implement their first website.  Version 1, (when complete!), features podcasts, video, and image galleries using JQuery. The back-end is being designed and implemented in ASP.NET MVC and SQL Server 2005 with Linq-to-SQL for the data access layer.  This will be Version 2 of the customized content management system I wrote for St. Ann, and there is work going into generalizing (and hopefully) releasing the source code for others to use.

Stack Overflow

I joined Stack Overflow in September 2008, and over the course of that time have both given and received guidance from the greater programming community on a wide range of topics.
